computer reboots on shutdown

I had this problem after messing about in the BIOS, there is an option to automatically power up whenever it powers off, i think its in case of a server losing power so it can reboot itself and doesnt effect remote users.
Do you know where this is, I'm not good at the BIOS

What spec is your system? If you are using a really old system like a pentium 3 for typing letters etc to keep your main Ultima Extreme SLi 8800 GTX free for serious stuff like games :D then it may be Advanced Power Management causing a problem. Never a problem unless its a motherboard designed before xp.

If your system is newer try taking out all pci cards (not your grapics card) and unplugging usb attached devices I did have an old yamaha soundcard that worked fine but caused restarts on shutdown.
everything is brand new, days old
