Hi everyone,

I’ve just redone and rewired my whole computer and liquid cooling loop, and for some reason it now refuses to start :(

Earlier, the mobo kept getting stuck after the screen with the HDD info, hence the complete overhaul.

The mobo lights are on but even when using the onboard on button, nothing at all happens.

Any suggestions?

Hardware:
3930k
Rampage 4 extreme XL
570 2.5gb SLI

Nope

None of the fans or lights turn on, but all the lights that are on when the computer is normally stagnant are on (if you know what I mean?!)

I think so! What are you referring to as the onboard on button? It sounds like the case button isn't shorting the pins properly if nothing is happening at all when you press the on button.

The mobo has an onboard start and reset button. I've tried rewiring the ashes button, but even if that was wrongly done, the mobo button has always allowed me to turn the computer on :(

Tried a clearCMOS? Double checked everything is in firmly etc? Reason I say is that I spend about 30 mins the other day when I changed PSU wondering why my sound card wasn't getting picked up upon loading up only to see that I'd pulled it out the socket a little :p

Other than that you can have it all wired up to the wall but switched off and then hold down the power button for 30s or so to drain any voltage in the system.

But as you were having issues before the rebuild it's not looking good. Hopefully it'll be something little :)

The clea CMOS button is lit and I've tried it but still no luck :(

I've rewired it once again (all the major cables) but with two rads in the system it was a tough job :(

I've tried holding the power button down aswell :(

I have an OcUK bridging connector which I've just tried, IIRC, once the PSU get power, all the connected fans should spin up?

Nothing's happened :(

Yeah it should. It is turned on right? :p.

Only kidding but try a different kettle lead... Long shot. Do you have a volt meter to check it? Is it a modular PSU?

I have a multimeter, yes... But how do i use it?! (I was **** at physics when I was a little Cleeecooo!)

I'll try a new cable now

Ha ha I have absolutely no ****ing idea how to use one. I think it sounds like the PSU though. Are all the cables going straight into the board or you usinG extensions?

OMG I LOVE YOU RUSTY!!!

My belkin power block Extender thingy is dead (3rd one :rolleyes)

I didn't suspect it as everything else connected to it seems to be fine!

Computer works (although leaking heavily)
