Computer restarts...

What happens when it restarts?

Suddenly goes from perfectly functional Windows to POST (BIOS loading)?

If so enable BSODs.
Start > Control Panel > System > Advanced > Startup and Recovery Settings > Uncheck "Automatically Restart" in the "System Failure" box.

Next time it happens you may get a Blue Screen Of Death. Note down the error and post it back on here.

If even then you don't get a BSOD, chances are it's either an overheating problem or unstable power supply.

Hope this helps :)

If it is unstable powersupply or over heating, what can be done?

New power supply?

What cooling should i get?

Unticked the box and just waiting for the failure now for the error.

Thanks for input guys

The fans are all working fine. I might take out the power supply and clean it up a little bit. Could it be dusty?

If I had to replace the powersupply what would you recommend? Something powerful enough for my current build and a little more for upgrades in the future.

I dont have a spare PU to check if it is the problem unfortunately.

It has something to do with the graphics, so power or overheating might be the problem.

It doesnt crash as much now but the graphics card comes up with a VPU warning and isnt as good until reboot.

Would this be a Power problem?

I might have found the problem whilst cleaning up the computer. The graphics card adaptor for the six plug port had two power plugs coming off it and i only had one plugged in.

Hopefully when my computer is back together that will solve it. (Also found two fans that i was not using lol)

DOH!!!
