Thanks. This takes me back. I started work in IT (then called the Data Processing Department) in 1987 so this all looks quite familiar.

Remember working on the Sun Sparcs, IBM and ICL kit. Then those new fangled Compaq kids came in with their 8u 100kg+ “mini” servers that were rack mounted, they’ll never catch on!….

started IT in 84 but high end stuff about 87, Sperry (unisys) 1100/2200 series mainframes at that time
