Computer set up advice

Hoping someone could give me some advice on this spec? It's for 3D and graphic swork, using mainly 3DS Max and Adobe creative suite. My budget is £1000, can't really go over, is there any bundles on here you would recommend? I could really do with some help on this one! cheers, Ian

Hi,

I can't see much wrong, but just a couple of pointers from me.

1) You don't need a 850w PSU, and even a 600w would be plenty. I would also go for something gold rated simply because of reduced noise, gold rated PSU's tend to have more stable voltage output also. I run a Seasonic X-650 that for a professional rig would totally recommend but unfortunately OCUK don't sell Seasonic products.

2) On the mouse OCUK are selling this much cheaper.

Do you actually need a quadro graphics card?

well it the system is going to be used for 3D modelling and rendering etc as well as 2D work, so the graphics card is probably not 100% necessary but desirable

Yeah but you don't *need* a quadro for 3D Modelling and 2D graphics work, I can't see any benefit it would bring you over something either more modern and faster or something a lot cheaper. r
