Hi guys,

I have been running the rig that is in my sig for about 2 years now,and up to now has been working very well.

On Sunday I was playing dead space and the system just shut down,as know somebody pulled the plug out.

I have been running with the side case off since sunday incase it was overheating but it is still shutting down.

I am not running it overclocked,so could it be a power issue all something else?

Many thanks for any help

hi mate,it is a Corsair HX 520w ATX Modular power supply.

As an update,I have been playing Titan Quest:immortal Throne, and it seems to be okay,so maybe it only happens in full on 3D games ?

I would go powersupply for this one means thats its old...corsair make great powersupplys btw, but I m guessing like cars etc they have a life span, its ethoir that or something (inc the powersupply is getting too hot)

I had this happen to me several times over the past few days with my old rig. I'd do some testing to try and find the cause, but I'm building my new one now.

Only thing that I can see our machines had in common is the Q6600..

Hi guys, thanks for the replys looks like I am going to buy a new power supply and try that.

I have been looking at :- OCZ StealthXStream 700w Silent SLI Ready Power Supply [OCZ700SXS-UN]

Do you think this will be okay for my system?
