Computer Spec Request :)

Hey All,

I've been asked to spec up a PC for my younger brother - he's doing a computer games coding and designing course at college and needs a machine that can handle small amounts of 3D design. He's also an avid gamer so it would need to be powerful enough to handle the latest games etc.

He's given me a budget of £1000 - he's already got monitors and peripherals so the budget is literally all for the computer itself.

Any suggestions or spec ups would be gratefully received - I've been out of the loop with regards to computer parts over the last year or so!

You are probably better off with a nvidia card for 3D design as chances are the software will have CUDA support which will aid with speed.

As long as it is a 64bit OS for the large amount of RAM you will be fine.

Is it a 64bit windows key/copy you have? You'll need that to use the full 16GB RAM ideally, I assume so?
