Right!

New build about 1 week old.

Msi z97s sli plus
4690k
Msi7950 bgrade
evga g2 750w
kingstom hyper x ram n sdd.

Started the other day, computer started itself ( thought it was daughter, as she was the only one home. Had a look in event viewer and didn't think more of it.

today it happened again, around the same time. Looking into the event viewer it said computer was put in sleep mode yesterday at 14:xx and had been woken up after 10k seconds. I know i shut it off!

Wake by lan is disabled in bios.

Checked windows update, unchecked wake when windows update is scheduled. However the preset time for this was 02:00 rather than 14:00

Any ideas? Cables look fine lol..

Ghostlike!

Are all of the wake/resume BIOS functions disabled for sure? (RTC alarm / PCI-E device / USB device etc.)

Have you checked the wireless adapter, Bluetooth or LAN port properties and disabled wake on LAN (even if you have disabledkt via bios)?

Check in task scheduler for anything unordinary.

Also update your bios, that will most likely fix it if all wake timers/etc are disabled I don't see what else it could be.

Try enabling (or disabling?) ERP support in the bios, some boards don't fully power down the wireless adapter and still wake on lan even if it's turned off.

On my old Asus board I could set in the BIOS a time to power on. I used this to make patches etc do their thing at 4am. Check a similar feature isn't doing this.
