OMG,

Kevin from Bradford.. Do you think we are stupid?

It's the 2nd time in the last couple of days we've received a call from this guy. He claims he's "received information" that there is something wrong with our PC. And of course he's there to fix it for us!

Even when I told him I knew what he was trying to do and to stop pestering us because it's never going to work.. He kept on trying to get us to "fix" our PC.

Kevin.. Or whatever your real name is, you better hope we don't meet! because your face would need plastic surgery once I'm done with it.

Of course the number was untraceable to us, but I'm wondering who's the right person to contact, the police? When quite obviously this guy is attempting to hijack our machine.

I think Kevin is trying to fix his PC - being a good Samaritan. LeJimster hates nice people.

Get as much info as you can from him on the next call from him, see what he knows or doesnt know about your record, perhaps record the call as well. Then you'd at least know if he's actually targeting you specifically or just aiming phone calls off at random.....

I just lost my rag with him, cuz he woke me up and was trying to BS me.
I'll try to record the conversation next time. But hopefully there won't be a next time.

Yesssss.......record it and then we can listen to it and figure out where he lives and release a bag of rats into his house!

set up a machine on your DMZ and when he next calls tell him its virused up to the eye balls. Give him access to this machine and install loads of key loggers / network monitors and packet capturing software.

Use your router to track his IP and see what he gets up to.

I'm willing to bet he'll install something nasty so use VNC or whatever to keep a check on him. When he's about to install a virus or whatever open a putty session with a saved host call 'Police' then start connecting to the 'Police'.

Then take bets with other work mates as to how long he stays connected!!

:)
