Hey,

trying to find a sturdy trolley or base with wheels on it for sitting my desktop on as it's too large to sit on my desktop, I'd like to keep it on the trolley on the floor of course so that I can easily pull the desktop in and out for cleaning, bad back and the thing weighs a tonne so it's quite awkward to move around.

can't seem to find one on the website anywhere and ones I've seen.. elsewhere.. are made of cheapo plastic and don't look strong enough at all.

basically, a small stand with wheels on the bottom would be ideal, I could probably make what I mean or find something else suitable, any help appreciated.

:D

Thank me later.

Having had a very heavy P182 for many years now, full of mechanical hard drives I come up with the following.

Essentially, a bit of 20mm thick wood that I cut the right size for my case, and cut in a finger slot. I spray painted it black. I can easilly slide both my PC's out with these.

Can you not just add some castors? Can't find the thread but thats what another forum user did to their machine.

Thanks for the replies ;) I had considered the old bit of wood + handle but it's laminated flooring in my office and it's not the best idea, the skateboard is another thing I'd actually thought of.

bookmarked the two stands linked by chaparral, not sure if they will bolt to my case but will take a look-see > NZXT Phantom Full Tower case.

the rubber feet on the bottom of the case are a nightmare on the laminate wooden floor, sliding the case is possible but it's not an easy task.

I have always had carpet so the bit of wood has been perfect for that. It does slide very easily on the plastic computer chair mat too. I think the underside of the wood is very smooth.
