Computer turns on but no signal to monitor, even with changed gfx card

Computer turns on but no signal to monitor, even with another borrowed gfx card. Want to check if anyone here has any ideas. Phase LEDs show CPU is working plus heat sink is hot.

Using a 1156 i5, a gigabybe p55-usb3 mb and 8gb gskill ram.

Any ideas before its time to shell out for a new mb?

There is no output on the mb, am i missing something

so i have cleared the bios but no luck. looking like it is a failed mobo. shame its the old 1156 which is now not available. guess its time to bite the ivybridge bullet and cell the cpu on.

no lights but i am going to re-read the manual, see if anything appears. any idea on the warranty times for gigabyte boards e.g. 1 or 2 year

i doubt it as i was using the pc perfectly in the morning. i think its just a straight mb failure. ohh well such is life
