Hello,

I'm debating whether to upgrade my current system or just build a whole new rig.

I currently have:
Motherboard Name: ASRock ALiveNF6P-VSTA
CPU Type: Dual Core AMD Athlon 64 X2, 2500 MHz (12.5 x 200) 4800+
4GB RAM (3GB Usable)
Windows 7 Ultimate 32 bit
NVIDIA GeForce 9500 GT
EZcool Super Silent ATX-450 JSP

I want a new Graphics card, but that would also mean upgrading the PSU as well, does anyone have any recommendations?

Or should I just attempt to build a new rig?

These are what I have in mind:
StealthX Black Midi Tower Chassis
AMD Phenom II X4 Quad Core 960T Black Edition 95W Edition 3.00GHz (Socket AM3) Processor
Asus GeForce GTX 550Ti 1024MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card

Not sure on a motherboard however or a PSU.

My budget isn't huge, around the £300 mark, so I might keep some components from my current PC just depends what I can build with what I have currently, plus new components.

Thanks in advance.

EDIT: Damn, the url for the other components are blocked from this website. I didn't know :[ Removed the links now.

Well I would recommend you read some reviews of Intel Sandy Bridge. They are where the money is right now! The i3 dual core is quicker than the Phenom II X4 at stock settings and runs cooler. In a couple of years time if the system is feeling a bit slow you can pop in an i5/i7 quad core. I wouldn't be buying AMD at this time unless I had already invested in an AM3+ motherboard.

The Intel board spec'd above is a decent one with good features for a budget board. Has USB 3.0, SATA 6Gb/s, 4 memory DIMM slots, HDMI & DVI so you can make use of the onboard/integrated graphics of the i3 if you ever needed too.

For casual gaming you could look at perhaps AMD Llano but you won't get the same level of performance as you would from an i3 2100 and dedicated midrange graphics card.
Okay thank you, the main use of the PC is programming/graphics. With gaming such as Skyrim and a few MMORPG's.

So I don't need something top end and brilliant as I don't play a lot of games on it. However my current system is outdated and I do need something more up to date.
