5 weeks ago I bought and installed a Samsung 850 evo SSD and have had no problems with it until yesterday.
Now the computer refuses to boot from the SSD, it loads the driver support for the marvel sata 6g controller then hits the splash screen (where you can hit buttons for different settings screens, bio's etc and then it hits a black screen with a flashing cursor asking me to reboot or insert a boot disc.
Ive tried moving it to the other sata socket, ive tried different cables, ive made sure the boot priority is correct, made sure AHCI was selected, tried to use the boot disc to try and repair or even reformat it and it would load the files but wouldn't get any further than the windows starting screen and ive also booted up from a platter drive with the ssd install in a sata 2 socket and the system wouldn't recognize the ssd for me to reformat it from in disc management, no new programs or hardware were installed and the system literally hasn't had any issues whatsoever since installing.
The motherboard is a P7P55D-E with a i5 760, let me know if you need anymore info and thanks for any assistance you can throw my way.
