Hi all

Our main PC will not boot into windows (vista 32-bit). On turning the power on it appears with a Dell boot screen that is covered with 'dots' and loads the initial process (again with the screen covered with white dots). It gives the boot options screen (BIOS and Boot options) and continues to the windows loading bar, from there darkness looms.

I have run the system checks (all passed) and start-up repair options to no avail.

Does anyone know what could be wrong with it, and if so how to fix it?
My suspicions are that the graphics card is up the left, but I could be totally off the mark.

Cheers.

Does sound like a faulty gpu, can you take a photo and upload.

Also if the gpu external or integrated version.

Yeah would also put my money on faulty GPU, usually the memory that causes these 'artifacts' I'm pretty sure. I've had it on some old 7 series Nvidia cards previously.

Na I do play games, was an 8800GT in there, will see what dad is willing to stump up lol i've a decent one on the laptop but it's not as good a computer.

Thanks for the advice.
