OK I just cannot think what has gone wrong.

I bought a new case for my Asus P5E3 setup.

I simply took it all out and put it all back in the new case. Now when I start the fans come full. The board has green light but not beep post and nothing on the monitor.

I have reset all the parts and cleared the cmos.

Any help appreciated.

Are you sure that you are not shorting the board with say an extra mobo stand thats not neaded?

Also try disconnecting any front panel usb's/audio, power switch etc and jump start it with a screwdriver.

Are you running any wires behind the mobo?

I am using the standard 9 screws.

How do you jump start it with a screwdriver?
Will give that a try if I know how.

Well I have spent all day trying to resolve this problem and I can only think of two things that it could be.

1. I am doing something wrong

I took a complete setup and put it in a new case. Then tried to start it. Everything comes on but there is nothing on the monitor.

I then tried a brand new set up I just got from OcUk and tested on two monitors. Same thing.

The only thing I used in both setups was the GPU. Hence my 2nd idea.

2. The Graphics Card is gone.

Though I find it hard to believe as it was working fine up until I started this rebuild and everything looks and sounds as if it is working except the monitor does not seem to be getting a signal or the setup is not posting.

I cannot see anything I have not connected properly but then two separate setups doing the same thing must mean I am doing something wrong

how long did you clear the cmos for? try leaving mb battery out for 30 mins to overnight, sometimes it needs longer

OK

This is for anyone else who has this problem.

I figured out what the problem was. The DVI PC - Monitor cable was faulty, (pins).
Hence no signal to the monitor.

Should have have checked the cable first, but hindsight is a wonderful thing.

bet you well happy that its sorted now :)

Yep I was happy that it was resolved without any extra cost, but that joy was tempered by the fact that I spent two days trying to resolve a problem that was staring me right in my face. The monitor was used for both setups so I should have checked it.
In my defense the monitor cable was working before I started the builds.
