for the past 2 weeks when ever i turned my comp on i got 3 beeps, so i wiggled the gfx card round a bit and the memory, booted it again and it worked, well now....

No beeps, no nothing, just everything spins up and thats it, no screen either, no activity.

The memory is 3500LL pro, so i can see the activity its getting, the orange lights come on for 10 seconds then go out, thats it. I've ordered another crappy gfx card (7300le) to make sure its not that as i'm getting no display at all.

Any suggestions, i tried unplugging everything and starting again, but no luck... even tried booting without memory/cpu/hdd etc

Oh and what are the warranty lenghts for asus mobo and xfx gfx card?

spec is..

A8n-SLI premium
2GB 3500LL Pro (not o/c)
4400+ (not o/c)
6600 GFX card (just sold my 7800 2-3 months ago as i needed cash, so this was a temp for a bit)

same problem here m8! luckily mine was a crappy system anyway, but it annoyed me to say the least.

Went to bed one night (system was downloading stuff) .. woke up in the morning, everyone sounded as though it was still on - turned monitor on... nothing, no output to it... mouse light had gone out. Weird, so I reset... booted up, no beeps or anything just sat there spinning. Sometimes it would just turn itself off...

Reseated everything, checked single sticks of ram, tried another gfx card.... god knows, you from stoke per chance? I swear we must have had a power surge overnight.

The asus manual is Shi*e really, there's no trouble shooting section, so i have no idea what it means...

Nope not from stoke,

I guess its an excuse to switch to core 2!

i seem to remeber my manueal coming with a beep deoceder,

make sure your cpu fan is pluged corectly, there is a way of making it spin, but the mobo doesnt see it, just check the cpu conection, well all connection

but im sure there will be a beed de-coder somewhere
