Erm, at a computer.
I've had a few problems with my computer recently, and im now on the verge of smashing the thing up.

I got BSOD a few weeks ago and the computer would not turn on. Tried everything but no joy. Took it to the shop and was told the mobo and cpu had gone. Replaced these and still no joy. Took it back to the shop where he dropped some new ram in and it booted.

Bought the ram, took it home and turned it on. Got to the screen where i had to enter my password but my usb mouse wernt working. Restarted and went into the bios to have a look at the usb settings, re-booted and the lights on the wireless receiver were on. However the machine would not boot to windows. No logo screen, just a blank screen.

Tried putting an xp disc and booting from the dvd drive, but its asking me to put in proper boot media or something.

Any help appreciated.

Sorry, should have been more specific.

I had a Gigabyte P35, which was changed for a Asus P5Q Pro.

Originally i tried clearing cmos, tried memory in different slots, took out PCI cards, the usual.

I think the mobo and CPU were fine, and it was just the memory, but i have bought the stuff now.

When i first turned it on it seemed to boot fine, and if my mouse was working no doubt i would have got into windows. However after going into bios to make sure usb was enabled, it wont show the logo screen or anything. I just get a black screen.
