Hey guys. The other day I was just moving my monitor closer to the bed for us to watch a movie, and I had to unplug the DVI cable. When I tried to re-plug it in, I was touching the output of the cable and the input of the monitor at the same time, and somehow it shocked my hand. When I plugged it back in the monitor said there was no input signal.
Do you guys think this is a problem with the cable (maybe I did something to it) or the GPU itself? Hoping not it's the GPU of course, it's my most prized possession. I've plugged my laptop in to the same DVI port on this monitor and it works fine.
I'm thinking if I buy a new DVI cable, maybe it would work? Are there any other tests I should go through? I'm hoping that you can't bust a £220 GPU just by shocking yourself with an output port?
