hey

My rig: q6600 2.4ghz (g0 step)
p5n32-e sli plus (EDIT: 'nForce 650i SLI SPP chipset')
4gb 800mhz ram
8800gts (g92) 512mb
580w hiper psu
Arctic Freezer 7 cooler w/ Antec 900

just installed a new fan, had to take the motherboard out for it to fit as there was a connector underneith that was stopping it from fitting.
pc's coming on with the led's and all fans working (incl new cpu one).

Just not getting anything on my monitor (or any login sounds).
I was careful and don't think anything's damaged.

So just asking if there's any common problems or thing people forget
to do when re connecting the mobo that I can try...

thanks in advance

I had the same problem with my old systen the other day, XFX 650i Ultra mobo,

at first the lights would come on and everything would start up but no display or sound, and then everything went dead.

So i would say it could be a mobo or psu problem mate.

Did you see or hear a spark on your motherboard? Could have happened if you were on carpet and you kept rubbing against it and you built up static. If you did get a spark or pop, you may have to get a new mobo :(

graphics card fitted ok? if unsure give it a firm push down at either edge, or try in a spare card if you have one, also make sure you didn't forget to plug in the 6 pin PCI-e connector, im guessing that it may be graphics related as everything else appears to be working

edit: oh yes and check the DVI/VGA cable, if just plugged in loose without tightening the 2 screw caps it may have dislodged itself :) very easy/common mistake to make

hope that helps...
