I am having a problem since installing my fan controller

I have to pull the power cable out and wait for the motherboard to lose power (power light goes off) then plug it back in and it starts straight away.

what would cause this?

i have a brand new PSU XFX 750 black edition PSU which isnt even a week old yet.
My motherboard is about 6 months old and is a ASUS P8Z68-V

Also once it does start up my BIOS has reset again and i have to Press F1 to set it up again

Did u plug the CPU fan into the controller as some motherboards wont boot unless the
CPU fan is plugged into the motherboard?

yeah cable 1 on the controller has another connection for the CPU , so bassicly plus the fan into the controller and it has another connection comming off that one which goes into the motherboard. :(

I personally would just try connection the CPU fan without the controller and see if it
boots up properly as that might be your issue, if not we can look at other options.

my system dose this when i set a bad overclock. reset your bios then without changing any setting or over clocking see if the pc will boot

ive had it at stock for about a month now because im not playing any games at the min.

i just removed every component from pc and re-seated it all, also my power button was set to make the pc hibernate instead of shutdown so i changed that too , im gonna shutdown right now and see if it helped brb

ok seems to be starting now :S strange but im still not convinced its fixed i will keep an eye on it over the course of the day.

just wondering though what would happen if the battery wasnt seated properly because when i took it apart to re-seat everything i pressed the button down and it clicked into place.

im wondering that maybe this was the cause ? what symptoms would you get if the battery wasnt seated properly? Hopefully that was the cause and i can stop worrying that my system has a major fault :P

well after about 5 successful shutdowns and restarts it seems to be working fine now :D
i got lucky this time i think :P
