I've not really had any problems with my machine since we built in 2012 but I now have the odd problem that, after a period of inactivity and after the screen turns off, it refuses to re-awake. This involves turning it off with the power switch and re-starting.

I have recently been using Windows 10 technical preview which was causing all sorts of browsers not connecting problems so I put Windows 7 back on my machine last night. As I say, everything is fine... except this rather annoying problem.

Any ideas, please?

be sure to run latest mb bios

what make/model ram you using? might need touch more vccio/sa voltage with sleep resume

I have just recently done a fresh install of windows 7 and I now have this problem too! Nothing else has changed on my rig apart from a fresh install of win 7 off the same disc as the previous install. Hope someone can help you (and me!)as its very annoying!

Thanks, I got the Mb drivers in already.

the memory is Samsung Green (MV-3V4G3D/US) 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C11 1600MHz 30nm Dual Channel Kit and I haven't had any problems until I put Windows 7 on last night.
