Computer wrongly detecting extra dvd drives

Hello,

I noticed the other day that my computer is detecting 6 dvd drives. My normal 2 drives are being detected and work fine but there are four dvd drives being detected that don't exist.

All four of these non-existant drives are called the same thing: MM7823K YIB078J SCSI CdRom device.

I can delete the drives through device manager but they always return after i reboot. How do i fix this?

have you got nero burning rom? or daemon tools installed?

they can setup virtual cd-rom drives.

Otherwise its an odd one.

I have nero. Could it of been there and i hadn't noticed it before. I have a lot of icons in my computer things as i have one of those multiple card reader thingies that i never use
