Computers Crashing or Restarting itself when trying to play Video Media!?

Title says it for itself realy?

Basicly when i try to play videos using various software (Quicktime, DivX, WMplayer, Winmx the lot!) it crashes or restarts.

What am i to do!!!!??

my pc has been doing that. replaced most parts but in the end ive just turned down my ram to 633 or w/e and it hasnt crashed in a while. just waiting on some more money before i upgrade the ram
