Hey all,

Putting together my PC build I notice that I (Stupidly) completely overlooked that my res is not above the pump . :(
To be honest the pump is higher as it's on a Shoggy Sandwich, I can raise the res up so they are parallel, maybe a touch higher but I'm concerned that the res might not feed the pump enough.

The pump's a D5 with an EK top and the res is the xspc photon tube (mounted Horizontally)
Will the res feed the pump enough? or am I going to have to re-arrange the lot?

Thanks

generally you should get the rez at a position that fluid will flow into the pump passively.

Post a photo?

But in all honesty you should be fine as long as the reservoir water level is above the pump.

Got any pics? So long as when you fill the res the water flows to the pump you should be ok. My current res is parallell to my pump and its fine, I'll get a pic for ya

If it doesn't you need to rethink your loop

Here we go, mine is parallel but the water still flows to the pump ok. I am using a vertical res tho which will help.

If yours is anything like that pic I would unplug the power from the second pump when priming, as while the first pump will naturally fill without tilting, the second one won't, and would be dry on first blip. No one says you have to have both pumps running when bleeding.

The second plexi thing is a flow meter isn't it?
