Existing motorcycle and tricycle riders

If you already have full motorcycle entitlement, it won't change under the new EU rules. Anyone who passed a practical category A motorcycle test before 19 January 2013 will still be restricted to a motorcycle of 25kW for two years from the date of test pass.

So does this mean if you passed on a 500cc before 19th Jan you will still be restricted? Have I read this wrong?

Just to confirm, I passed on a 500cc in Scotland last week, I'm not restricted am I?

Nah, AFAIK if you've passed before the new changes come out then the rules at the time of your test remain the same.

The above refers to the restriced license test taken on smaller 125cc bikes.

Since you passed on a 500cc bike you'll already be on a full license

Ive already done my 2 years waiting! from 2009 to 2011 so they can do one if they think im waiting again -_-

Even though from passing my bike was never restricted anyway
