Concerns before big buy.

I bought two Asus vw192s's about 6 months ago replacing crt's and we both love them and with the new build i'm discussing in the general hardware i'm looking to go to 22"'s:

And this isn't a go at ocuk I know its the industry standard but when we got home one of the monitors had a full on pixel (very bright and noticable) and a partial dead, niether were fixed by the program you can try with them.

So it left abit of a bad taste in my mouth concerning lcd's after all your paying for a new item, you don't buy a car and find a small crack in the windscreen then they tell you, it hasto have 4-7 cracks near center before we can fix it..

1)Does OCuk sell any lcd's that have a guarentee no dead pixels on day of reciept or replacement or could they check.

I hate to say it but if not its the one thing I can't chance buying

I don't mind paying extra.

Im pretty sure the "Dell Ultrasharp 2407WFP 24" Widescreen LCD Monitor" has a dead pixel warranty

I'm sure samsung are also worth checking out about their dead pixel policy.

but this doesn't include stuck or lazy pixels ?

Dead being no colour and stuck / lazy being a single colour always.

Stuck and lazy pixels just as annoying IMO

Hmm... you might be right about the lazy or stuck pixel, had'nt thought of them but i suppose it's a better policy than most.
