Hey guys

Here at work a couple of the researchers use Endnote X2 for citations etc and have a (rather hefty) library of citations relating to their research area. They'd like to be able to have this library on a network drive so they can all open it at the same time to use (at the very least just to read from and not write too), however Endnote does complain if someone has this file open allready.

So, has anyone ever come across any software or something that could be a possible solution?

I've been thinking of setting them all up with a local copy that they can then sync with the copy on the file server so it's always upto date, but how do you track what changes have been made? what if both researchers edit the same part of the file with different information, one syncs their copy then the other does after. As far as I can see the second copy will simply overwrite the first copy?

Thanks
