condemned, any good?

Can pick condemned 1 and 2 for around £5 each nowadays. I know they are old but are they any good? Just looking to grab a few older titles to fill my time with and this series seems to have caught my eye...

Condemed 1, amazing, I actually still think it's worth it @ full price, very atmospheric game, one of my top 5 360 titles.

I remember trying to play the first on the PC when it came out, scared me so much I couldnt play it ever again lol, only did a few levels. Think I got to the subway part.

The first one is very very very good, one of the very few games that have genuinely freaked me out!

I have Condemned2 sitting here unplayed because I'm too scared :eek:

I bought it after playing the Demo, if you have a Live sub why not download it and see

The first Condemned is a frightening game with a great story. I've only played the demo of the second game but it didn't leave a particularly good impression for me.

Agreed, the first one was awesome, still one of my all time fav games. Second was good, but for some reason didn't grab me like the first.

Both a must buy at that price though, so get involved!

its the only game thats ever made me paranoid. its all about the torch and the dim lighting that makes you wonder whats going to jump out next

First one is brilliant. One of the most atmospheric games I have ever played and the only game I remember actally jumping while playing. I've started to play through the second but didn't get that far, still a good game but I started to feel motion sickness a little while playing it.

yup - first one was superb... how freaked can you get from knocking over a bucket.... best horror i've played.. only deadspace came close.

Condemned is one of the best titles on the 360, as are most of the launch day titles. It is a superb game that scared the pants off me, so bad that it took a full day just to muster the courage to go into the basement of one of the latter levels.

The cop in it is modelled off the fat cop from Heroes

It's a shame I can't bring myself to finish Condemned 2, it is nothing like the first and very stale.

the 1st Condemned was one the best and scariest games i've played in a while, it's definitely worth a fiver. If you've ever seen the movie Se7en, it's a bit like that but with some paranormal stuff as well. The 2nd one was a bit 'meh' in my opinion but nonetheless still very good.
