Condensation around window frames; thermal wallpaper?

Could run a dehumidifier in there during the day with a humidistat so it keeps the humidity low enough. I run one in my log cabin gym, keeps all my kit bone dry. I also run one in my spare room with the door closed where we hang the laundry.

The stepped bit is plastered, not sure what’s under it. Plasterboard isn’t a thing in this house. It doesn’t span the cavity and the window is flush with the external brick

Interesting. It would be even more interesting to find out what is under that plasterboard. There must be something bridging the gap between the window frame and the wall and I am guessing that's the problem.
A simple solution would be to cover the plasterboard with thick trim (that will be a thin UPVC surface with a foam, insulating core). Easy to do, easy to wipe mold off and also insulating - just a temp fix until you replace the windows.
