Noticed last night that the 1999 Accord i bought a few weeks ago has a build up of condensation inside the passengers side headlight (can actually see the droplets in there). It is making the light coming from the headlight much dimmer than the other.

What is the best/permanent way to cure this without having to replace the complete unit?

Many thanks

Get a couple of small sachets that you get with new shoes in the box, pop them in the back of the headlight and your problem will be solved.

I would use Sillica get to dry the water out, however this will not fix the cause, you have a leak in one of the headlight rubber seals, at a guess.

My '04 Accord had this problem and the dealers solution was to replace the whole unit, luckily this was under warranty so was the easiest option in that situation.

Any idea how long this takes to get rid of the droplets as they have been in just over a week and i cant see any improvement.

Fixed my light the other weekend, problem is to get the light out you end up with a car looking like :

Took a hair dryer to the light, used some gutter sealent on the leak then put it all back together.
