I've got a NTL 200 cable modem. Up until recently I was able to connect to the router on http://192.168.100.1/config.html and see what the downstream setting was.

I'm checking because they#re just about to upgrade us to 10meg and that's a quick confirmation.

Anyhow that page no longer responds. Have VM changed the config so the IP address is now different, any ideas people?

Cheers :)

My range is 192.168.1.x

I could access it before on this range so I can't see it being an issue. It's weird, I could access it right up until the point I reinstalled Vista x64.

I did yes, it's made no difference.

I will try attaching it directly to the modem tonight, it could make a difference although I didn't have to do that before.

Out of interest does anyone know if the NTL 200 modem is capable of 20meg broadband? They are upgrading me to this soon as I just want to check I'll have equipment that's up to the job, else I will request an upgrade :)

Good plan, out of interest I did a quick search and theres a 255 modem out now too. Assuming thats the most recent I'll try getting one of those :)

Update: And the 255 turns out to be a 250 just minus the USB so not a big deal!
