Hi there, I would like to upgrade my old 4400 x2 box. I've settled on the following config:

Motherboard:
Asus P6T Deluxe X58
CPU:
Intel core i7 920 @ 2.66 ghz
GPU:
Ati HD 4870x2 2 gb
Ram:
Corsair Dominator (3x2Gb) @ 8-8-8-24
PSU:
Corsair HX @ 1000W

My questions are:
1. Are there better options around the same price range?
2. Considering I have an Akasa Eclipse 62 v1 case, will I have problems fitting anything in?
3. Do I need a better cooler, or will the one from the box suffice?
4. Considering I have a bunch of older(ish) 8mb buffer sata-2 hard drives, are those enough for optimal performance, or should I get a newer generation one as well?
5. Is my Viewsonic vpn930 good enough to handle all the graphics card can throw at it?

Thank you :)

1 - why 100watts.? this would do http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showp...rmaltake ToughPower 850W Modular Power Supply

2 - motherboard will fit nicely in that case.!

3 - the retail cooler would do if your not overclocking, but if you are going to i would recomend getting a 3rd party cpu cooler, would also be quieter.! http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showp...21&name=Noctua NH-U12P SE1366 (Socket LGA1366)

4 - 8mb buffer.? Hmmm not to sure on this point, but i would recmend you go for at least a 16mb buffer, 32mb ideally, then agin you could go for a velociraptor....lol

5 - the monitor is more than capable, though anything under 24" is really a waste with a 4870 x2
