I am looking ate getting this http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=NW-002-QN&tool=3

When setting it up is it possible to have 4 x 2TB drives configured so they appear as 1 virtual drive under windows ? e.g I want to see 8TB under a single drive letter like z:

or will each 2TB drive appear as single separate physical drives.

I am guessing this will be some kind of raid set up but my knowledge of raid is sub par

I don't have the same NAS box as in your link but you should be able to get all those disks appearing as a single drive mapping in Windows.

Do you know what RAID setup you want to use?

After doing a bit of reading i am assuming that raid5 would likely be the best set up for this ?

Its going to be a massive media store for movies and music to serve my entire house so we can access films etc from any workstation in the house
