***Confirmed*** Games that work with Windows 7!

OpenGL ''should'' come in the nvidia's, sometimes fails though. It gives an error when not installed I remember now on starting the game so I don't think it is the case...

RTCW is an openGL game too right? Quake 3 engine iirc...
Enable extention that for that too... Iirc it's diabled as a default.

Just checked, extension limit is on "Nvidia recommended" as shown on your screenshot for mohaa.

Both RTCW and mohaa don't give any opengl errors when I try to play them, I just get "WolfSP.exe has stopped working" and "MOHAA.exe has stopped working" and it just hangs. Really weird.

Then again, I have been having problems with the explorer.exe in Windows 7 with it wanting to restart every now and then for some reason.

Medal of honor works perfectly and has done since build 7000 x64 here.

Only issue is that trees and some objects cause HUGE lag on my 4870 (60 solid down to 25-30! and laggy as hell!)

If anyone knows how to disable Framebuffer Objects (FBO) then please say...

I can't seem to get Return To Castle Wolfenstein working in Windows 7, keeps throwing up "WolfSP.exe has stopped working" multiplayer seems to be working fine though.

Medal Of Honor: Allied Assault doesn't work either. You can load it up and get to the menu but as soon as try to load the actual game up it just hangs.

Both games have the latest patches by the way, and my pc has the latest drivers too.

I just tried RTCW and got the same error. Messing about with nhancer and got it to work. Select RTCW, go to the Compability tab, then OpenGL tab and tick the Driver extension limit. I stuck 4844 in the box as other Quake 3 based games(the two jedi knight games) seemed to have that in their profiles. Re-tried WolfSP and it worked :)

If you haven't installed nhancer, enabling Driver Extension Limit from the nvidia control panel may well sort it too.

Havn't found any games that dont work with windows 7 tbh, maybe it would be easier just listing the ones that dont? :p

You need to get out more.

The irony in your post is overwhelming.

I suspect he's either used an auto back up, or basing his experiences on the Win 7 RC, which has been out for months.

Says the guy who just quoted an entire post :p

+1

It's nice to see a list of games that do work with Win 7 as I haven't bothered to install Win 7 yet on my gaming machine but when I do get it next week, I'll be safe in the knowledge that the majority of my games all work well. Thanks for the heads up boys. Much appreciated :D

RA2 and RA2:Yuri's Revenge both work on Windows 7 x64.
NeverWinter Nights works on 7 too, but you need to run as Administrator (it writes to its own folder)

Odd, perhaps a specific hardware issue as i've had Wolf SP running perfectly on a netbook on W7 without any messing about, it just ran.

No insults!

Reply if you like but I'm off to play football (not FIFA or PES, real-life football) so I won't get to read your words of wisdom until later if indeed you choose to embarrass yourself further.

Batman AA
Wolverine Origins
Marvel Ultimate Alliance 1
Xmen Legends 2

Those are some games that work on 64 bit W7 (the RC, waiting for my home premium to be delivered).

Uh, you do realise that I didn't have to type it all out right? There's a clever little button that did it all for me! Isn't that fancy?

Too much gaming seems to have turned your brain into mush.

I like this guy...quite the smart-a$$. Hope you didn't have a fatal injury during 'real-life' football mate.

Finally got it to work. For some reason on my Nvidia Control Panel for RTCW game settings it had Extension Limit set to "off" so I put it to "Nvidia recommended" and it loaded up and now works.

For MOHAA, regardless of what the Extension Limit is set to it crashes to desktop - it must dislike my computer. :(
