***Confirmed*** Games that work with Windows 7!

windows 7 works everything worth working.

In English?

This thread is for more of the older stuff as well as giving everyone an instant list to what does work and what patch may be required - just because something is older it doesn't mean it's not worth playing. Every game I want to replay is something older. Sure Crysis looks pretty but once played would I ever go back to it? No.

Issue with Sacred 2 and 64 bit with Patch 2_43. 2_40 works fine.

Stutters and crashes with 2_43. Devs aware

Same issue also inflicts Sacred 2's expansion patch as well only worst - you can play using XP sp3 compatibility mode but it's not a complete fix by any means plus there's serious issue with secrurom. Btw the Devs won't actually be making the patch as they are a deceased studio (Studio 2 of Ascaron (RIP) ) - it's the new owners of the franchise (Deep Silver) that are working on it)

Titan Quest and expansion work fine
Civ 4 and 3 & all expansions , the same
King's Bounty is good
Hellgate is good also
Drakensang run better on win7 than xp

Anyways:

Age of empires 2 ( + conq expansion) : Funny ground texture colors, found the problem on both ati and nvidia pc's. Alt tabbing out and back in usually fixes it and if not, terminating explorer.exe and tabbing back into the game always works.

There's a BAT file that can be created that ends explorer.exe and loads AOEII for you, that prevents the weird textures.

Code:
taskkill/F /IM Explorer.exe
age2_x1.exe
Start explorer.exe

Just save that in the AOE directory and run this instead of the EXE file

Sid Meirs Railroads keeps randomly dropping back to desktop or freezing up jsut as it does in vista

WSC Real 09 - Install fails on a file called wsc2009.dat. Choose ignore and you'll see the file is 0k in the install drive. Copy it from the DVD itself and it will run fine, the file should be over 2Gb

Left 4 Dead and Windows 7 - anyone reported any issues? I've been struggling to maintain a network connection online, no idea if its related to win7 though.
