I am running Core2 Duo 6300 on a Asus P5B motherboard. Originally I had a ATI 1600Pro graphics card, but as this had a noisy fan I changed it for Nvidia 7600 GS extreme, which is very quiet. However since then I cannot get clear sound unless I uninstall the Nvidia driver and use the generic Windows driver. Any suggestions about what might be causing this?
