Decided to change a few bits in my set up this last week but it seems my 4/5yr old x-fi fatality(one with the old front panel) just does not want to work, its causing me to bsod when im trying to check its details in device manager or when i tried to uninstall it. Thats after I actually got W7 to see it with the 4mb patch eventually.
Device manager was telling me that the card had shared resources and basiclly didnt have enought to run(something about code12), the only things ive changed are my gpu(i have tried my old GPu back in my set up and it didnt change anything) and installled a SSD to replace a mechanical HDD. Im sorta resigned to replacing my card after serveral hours trawling the internet tonight for a solution.
So I guess my thread is two fold really any ideas from anyone who might be able to help and failing that a replacement for my soundcard which wont break the bank and will be used for Game and headphone 90% of the time and the other 10% of the time with my soundworks 5.1. Ive really enjoyed my creative card sound while gaming and well onboard just wont cut it for BF3.
