hey all just a random quicky lol, juust done a format of my hard drive using windows cd, installed the drivers for my motherboard that came with it on disc, installed my graphics drivers from nividia, but for some reason my pc loads stuff really slow, sometimes makes sounds as if its running something big when it aint. ive ran virus scans etc ccleaner defraged and that but no luck, been reinstalling drivers for 2 days as i think i have a conflict with the PCi to PCI standard bridge and my graphics cards. Im running a AMD Athlon dual core 2.2 3gb ddr2 Gigabyte m52l-s3p rev1.0 mobo and a Nividia 7300 GT graphics card. Heres a screen shot of the msinfo32 shareing/conflict.

also one of running processes

oh and all my bios setting are set to default i have no changed anything.

I dont think the symptoms you've described would be due to a conflict.

I would suggest while you are at the nVidia site getting your GFX drivers you also pick up the nForce 520LE chipset drivers instead of installing things off the CD that came with your motherboard.

If the problems continue it may be a failing component like the hard drive.

I agree with above. Always download the latest chipset drivers rather than using the supplied disks. Sometimes, you'll need to do this before you start an upgrade.

I would also post up some screen images of CPU-Z. Check your CPU and memory are running and the correct speeds.

Check also your HDD. Download the HDD diagnostic tools from the manufacturers website. These are normally boot CDs. Verify the HDD is ok.

cheers for replies guys, sorry for late replie been trying to sort this or foud out whats up all damn night! lol, everynow and again the comp will go slow or take a while to boot up. i took some screen shots of cpuz, cpuz graphics and core temp, the core temp one is wrong mind because it says i have a duel core phenom when i have duel core athlon.

core temp: http://img411.imageshack.us/img411/1549/coretempt.jpg
cpuz: http://img840.imageshack.us/img840/3605/cpuz.jpg
cpuz gfx: http://img683.imageshack.us/img683/8929/cpuzgfx.jpg

as ive already installed the drivers from disc, whats the best way to uninstall them?, just the old add/remove then run ccleaner?.

yea another thing i forgot to mention, after i made this thread probs a hr or so later, some colors auto change, like the light grey when you right click on a item goes dark grey so i got to refresh the theme, at one point when i was clicking on start menu etc it made a weird noise, also playing a game some stuff it kinda repeated :S dont know if that is any clues to anything but i kinda thing its my graphics?.

Lets see what the hard drive scan returns but its looking like you have a bigger problem than just drivers!

finally tested the hd, i used the western digital data lifeguard dianogstics, and the quick scan had 0 errors also the exstened scan had 0 errors. so ive installed the chipset drivers from nividia to, still see the pci to pci bridge and my graphics card in the share/conflicts, but not yet noticed any slowness, hangs etc. at first i thought this was a nasty rootkit lol because when running ccleaner, it shows files like Dc2.zip .exe etc etc when i browse my recycle bin using cmd it shows a c ouple of hidden folders in C:\RECYCLER ive tryed a mbr fix in recovery consol and scaned with nearlly every AV so hopefully im clean lol, if something is messed i hope its the graphics card as everything else in system is quite new apart from the graphics card.

ithink it might be the hard drive like you said even tho the thing i used said no errors, because when i load stuff now and again or unzip files, load games, my computer makes loud cherning type noise. going to run a chkdisk see if it finds anything.
