Confused - 1st time Laptop buyer, not sure of specs. Please help

Okay guys, never bought a Laptop before so not to sure what too look for spec or price wise.

The Laptop will be used for Work (so Microsoft Word/Excel needed) and Internet. I have a budget of no-more than £350.00.

Any advice or recommendations welcome.

at that price walk into your local supermarket and buy one at that price, will do everything you ask for except play 3d games. the entry level price of 300-350 usually comes with 1gb ram celeron processor 80 gig hd and basic onboard video, enough for general office work.

Have a look at the Dell Vostro 1500's, C2D, 2gig RAM..etc. Very nice laptops, should pick one up easy to meet your needs and budget.
