Hi there,

Really confused:

There are two types of ram - they are identical bar the fact one has 'dual channel' ticked, and also has 1.5v listed as the voltage while the other has n/a.

The RAM listed as dual channel and 1.5v is 'mac' ram while the other is pc ram.

Specs as follows - pc 8500, 1066mhz ddr3 ram

I have foolishly purchased the pc ram by mistake and have been experiencing infrequent lock ups on my macbook aluminium (random and not very often but cause me to have to reboot)

Is it likely that the ram is incompatible or could it just be faulty? memtest is showing no errors.

I'll get a screenshot of both links - unfortunately it's a competitor site so will have to edit them.

My machine is a MacBook aluminium late 2008 5,1.

ah strange then must be compatibility! Why didn't you go for the Mac Edition?

To be honest I didn't see the mac version - just googled the spec I required and went for it.

Think I'll order some crucial 8gb kit and sell this on an auction site!

Thanks for your help!
