Confused about Case Sizes

Yah. A mini case takes the mATX variety. A midi should take the ATX one and a full tower should handle eATX.
 
The tower sizes mean VERY little.

I have a ATCs 500, which is very very small, yet still takes ATX.

Easier just to go by ITX / mATX / ATX / eATX and pick the case accordingly.

If it does not state the form factor then its safe to assume it is ATX.
 
or better yet check the manufacturers website and review come in handy to see how much space you have to play with once installed with all the components
