Your gonna want to get patch. Crossover is just for PC to PC sorta thing, you wont need it if your using a router. and i think a lot of devices these days can actualy use patch as crossover if needs be, but dont hold me to that.

also Cat5E will do fine, just get good stuff

Cat6 is only needed for >1gbit networks afaik

What makes are good stuff ?
