Hi there, I am in the process of speccing a budget build. I was originally between an i3 and the athlon x2 quad.
The two boards I had in mind were both Gigabyte.

(INTEL)

(AMD)
I was going to pair both these boards up with this ram.

However after looking into the boards RAM compatibility a little more, according to Crucial's website the Intel board isn't compatible with 1600Mhz RAM. I find this hard to beleive as the AMD is?
I am new to the DDR3 scene, DDR2 was a lot easier to understand.
Would this indeed be compatible?
