Confused about which memory to get

Bit of a noob when it comes to all of this.

I'm looking to build a new desktop with a coffee lake cpu. After looking at memory, I'm finding a lot of them saying they are compatible with 100/200 series chipsets, but the Z370 motherboards are a different chipset, so they requite other memory?

I would appreciate any advice on this!

DDR4 compatibility is the same across all DDR4 chipset / CPU controllers, so it will be fine. There is no Intel or AMD memory compatibility. Some memory works better on one or the other, but all will work at at least base frequencies. 2133 / 2400. Overclocking frequencies above this rely on implementing XMP in the bios which again should be relatively simple.

If you say what kind of budget you have altogether or what you are looking at spending on ram someone here will advise you on which ram to consider
