Confused, annoyed and seeking advice.

Hi guys,

I need alittle advice. I have built my new spec:

E6600
Asus P5W Deluxe
GeForce 7950GX2
GeIL 2GB RAM 6400
Seagate 320GB HDD’s
Antec P180
Seasonic S12 600w

Thing is I have an annoying problem. After shutting down my computer for the night, when I turn it on the next day, the system comes on, but there is no signels going to the monitor or keyboard. The monitor does not receive a signal and won’t display an image… and the keyboard lights don’t come on…

Though when I remove the power cable, wait 5-10 minutes, plug it back in and try again… everything works.

Not had something like this happen before, any suggestions?

when i got my 7900gtx i had 2 pci-e cables with my new antec psu...

now one of them would sometimes give me the trouble u are experiencing, then 2 days in my system wouldnt even post...

I tried the other pci-e cable and it worked fine...

Have you tried using a diff pci-e cable?

its something related to the gpu i think because its display orientated..have you double checked all connections are secure?

Had a similar problem and the motherboard was faulty. Very random it was but we suspected many other parts before our attention turned to the MB.
Unfortunatley the mainboard is the hardest things to swap out and test.

I had a similar problem a while back also.
Mine was a compatability issue of some kind, used the problem system plus some extra bits and built 2 pcs splitting the original gfx and mobo and no problems whatever since then on either system with any of the parts.

Unfortunately it can all be a bit hit and miss and very confusing at times, you just gotta take it step by step.
Having bits around to try swapping parts out is always the best way to get to the bottom of things, if you are lucky enough to have those bits around.
