this is what i got so far, i am missing a psu, was hoping u peeps would help me out with that. i was all set to order this on friday then someone told me i shoudl get the evga 780i which totally confused me. however i dont think i will be using sli so went for the cheaper option. however this does look like an expensive setup, anyone got any suggestions. wanna overclock to 3.3ghz i guess. i am an occassional gamer but i do movie encoding as well.

remember need a psu,

thanks in advance.

PSU - Has to be Corsair HX 620W, cracking PSU that.

if your not going to use Xfire or SLI then a P35 is what you want.

that bundle is good, but not the best if you want a bit more value.

get 800Mhz ram that will save you a few bob. still plenty of headroom fro overclocking that CPU. you could get 4GB for the price of that 2GB, and then get yourself vista 64bit.

if you like the layout of that motherboard, maybe you only need the Abit Ip35, i.e. the no pro version. £30 saved.

do you need a Quad, its an amazing chip, with massive overclocking potential, but if you are just gaming then theres no need

EDIT, that hard drive, you can save a bit there, if thats the windowed version, it has 1/2 the MTBF and they are very very noisy.

if you realy want a raptor, get a small one, then a 500GB drive, will cost the same as that single 150GB drive, then only use the raptor for OS and apps.

hmm looks like this case has lots of fans, will the corsair psu u suggested have enough connections for the fans?

yes,

my case has, 8800GTS, 3 HDD, 1 flopy, 1 DVD-RW drive in, pump and 5 fans.

i still have 1/2 a tone of the module cables left.

it will easily do the job
