These buggers!

Half of them dont quote me and the other half are charging me £2600-£4000 for a cheapass low end car.

What are your thoughts.

p.s I know this car isnt low end but I would not have expected a Suzuki Cuppuccino 667cc limited @ 87mph to be £4000 insurance (17yrs old)

:(

It's still a RWD Turbo. And also, maybe they've tried to put you off, you know, from making yourself look like Noddy in a toy car?

lmao!

That was a car I knew would be quite high.

I quite like them though. Its a quirk I have. :o

I am 6' 3" so might have some trouble getting in one.

Try moneysupermarket too, I got cheaper quotes via their site than through confused by far.

thanks dude.

WIll check out now ;)

All I want is to be insured for a semi decent car. Im not looking for mad cars like Supras, preludes, mr2s etc

Just want a normal car...

And you are looking at a noddy car? :p

Oh the ironing. ;)

I think its irony ;)

Thats not my serious car. I would only have got that car if the insurance had been cheap. (which I was hoping it would be, considering its 667cc)

;)

Not on this forum it ain't. :p

What other cars are you looking at, there are some good cars that can be had for not a lot of money without tragic insurance premiums.

Could you suggest some.

This is really really annoying me. Maybe it would be better if I rang them up.

Atm I have put myself

- as a named driver on mums insurance
- doing less than 1000 miles a year
-no modifications
- no criminal record etc
-3rd party
-living in country side postcode

 It cant be this expensive.

To quote something i saw on another forum ...

Trouble is, younger/new drivers have to realise they can't have a superduper shiney gti the moment they pass their test.
They need to bite the bullet and pay out for their own policy, and earn their own no claims.
If they can't afford to insure the car they want, tough! Get something smaller, work your way up like the rest of us.

Trying to insure a RWD turbo as a first car is asking for trouble i'm afraid.

Never had a competitive quote off confused.com EVER.

On the other hand, they've always been great for me. Probably down to the area and postcode loading.
