Confused looking for some help

Hello people am looking to get a new TV my old one is on its way out and am looking to upgrade but i don't know where to go.

I have been looking and trying to get advice of people about what sort of screen i need or would be best for me.

I currently watch Blu rays and play Xbox on my TV but i want to get the best picture quality i can for my money so don't know if i need LCD , LED or plasma.

I currently have around £1000 for my full setup including my TV and sound system.

Can any body point me in the right direction.

Look at Plasma.

You'll get a very nice Panasonic set for that budget, depending on your needs (size/Smart/3D) etc.

Wanting over 40inch so why plasma ?

I like that tv but it does not have enough hdmi ports i have sky , bluray and xbox
