okay i've read the sticky and am still confused.
My situation is as follows:
1 pc upstairs connected to a bt 2meg broadband connection.
1 pc downstairs with a p5b wifi mboard.
1 edimax wireless modem/router.
Both PCs are using XPpro
I wish to create a network between the two so i can get the internet and download using utorrent on the pc downstairs.
I understand i need to get my ip address - no problem
I understand i need to swap the freebie bt modem with the new edimax.
Is there a simple guide or can someone just walk me through this so that
a) it is all secure (I see there are sites to test this)
b) i can open the correct ports for downloading on to the pc downstairs
