Confused on Laptop Processors

I'm just trying to compare some laptop processors but am just getting a bit confused over the different ones. First, one make describes the processor as 'Intel Core 2 Duo', where as one calls it the 'Intel Pentium Dual Core Processor'. now I haven't looked at CPU's in ages so are these the same but just denoted differently?

Secondly, I am then trying to compare a T2080 vs T5450, now logic would have it that the T5450 would be better? But the 1st has a higher clock speed but lower FSB so which is better? Or as linked to be called differenly above are they from two different ranges?

the T5450 has double the cache at 2MB and is 64bit, the T2080's are not 64bit the T7xxxx's have Intel virtualization too T73xx and above have 4mb cache

So to put it short, despite the T2080 having a slightly higher clock speed they are not as good as the T5450 in terms of cache and being 64 bit?

The T2080s are based on the original Core Duo whereas the T5450 is based on the Core 2 Duo. So the fact it has a higher clock speed makes little odds as its an older chip... Thats my understanding of it...

Basicly look for ideally T73xx + If poss otherwise T5xxx IMO

Cheers for that. I got confused with the Core Duo and Core 2 Duo, I was assuming that they were the same thing but just put in a different way by the generic computer shops that know nothing!
